About Me

Hello, my name is Jennifer Caldwell-Rossy and I have been in therapeutic practice since 2003. I have decades of experience treating a wide variety of stress conditions & physiological issues that have/are preventing people from living their best life.

In my early 20's I was diagnosed with a severe anxiety disorder that left me fearful to leave my house. I felt crippled by this condition and had difficulty sleeping, being in regular society and functioning healthily in relationship. I was an over achiever, perfectionist and strong Type A personality to the point it was all consuming and I often experienced lethargy and overwhelm combined with "doing more".

I am a mother of 2 beautiful children and suffered ongoing and chronic stress both due to internal circuits and how I had trained my nervous system from childhood, personal expectations and as a result of many toxic life relationships and abusive partners. I endured self harm, addiction and apathy. I considered suicide and felt that I just couldn't take one more day of life more times than I care to admit....What I didn't know then was that my nervous system was in shutdown because all I ever gave was effort and didn't get the corresponding recovery periods that were necessary for my personal nervous system.

It took years to recover from the chronic stress and burnout that had plagued me for decades as I was looking for "the thing" that would solve my pain. I knew to eat well, exercise, be mindful and ask for support but somehow this just wasn't enough! It wasn't until recently that I was truly able to put the whole picture together and understand that I had the capacity to change my nervous system and how it functioned with respect to stress, burnout and life. Through training and practice I got to work on the deepest part of my problem...my beautiful and amazing nervous system. The system that is considered the "Master System" of the body, and for good reason.

Your nervous system is what registers stress and relaxation, it is what helps you digest your food properly, move your body and signal hormones to try and keep you in a balanced state amongst many other things. This system is where you need to focus so you can change it's adaptation to both intrinsic and extrinsic life stressors. This is how you will heal... this is how you will recover. I know this because I have done it.....

Chronic stress and burnout require you to train your nervous system for resilience, and this happens when you place the right amount of EFFORT and the right amount of RECOVERY to force new adaptations that allow you to experience more joy, peace and fulfillment.
